We Stand
The Oklahoma Women Veterans Organization (OKWVO) stands up for women veterans by creating a supportive community that fosters fellowship and provides resources for its members. Through events, mentorship, and advocacy, OKWVO empowers women veterans in Oklahoma to connect, share their experiences, and navigate the challenges of civilian life.

We Connect
The Oklahoma Women Veterans Organization (OKWVO) provides a community for women veterans in Oklahoma to connect and support one another through various programs and services, such as mentorship, networking events, and advocacy. By fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie among its members, OKWVO helps women veterans navigate the unique challenges they may face after leaving the military.
ABOUT US
The Oklahoma Women Veterans Organization (OKWVO) is a 501 (c) (19) non-profit War Veterans Service Organization.
The Oklahoma Women Veterans Organization was founded in 1986 in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area and is currently the Headquarters of OKWVO. After many years, OKWVO has expanded, forming chapters, the first in 2012 in Tulsa, in 2016 a chapter in Lawton/Ft. Sill and recently in 2024 a chapter in NW OKC. As a woman veteran in Oklahoma, you may face unique challenges when it comes to accessing resources and services. That’s why we’re here to help. We offer opportunities to connect with other women veterans in the state through our events and community outreach programs.
